Arriving at the Belize International Airport

Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) is the main entry point into Belize. From here you need to transfer to your domestic flight to Placencia.

If you’re taking a commuter flight to Placencia, it’s best to land in Belize City by 3:00 pm, as the final flight departs at 4:45 pm.

If you miss the last 4:45 pm flight, there is a later 6:30 pm flight to Placencia, or you may need to stay overnight in Belize City.

Getting to Placencia

Two commuter flight companies operate in Belize: Tropic Air and Maya Island Air. These flights provide stunning aerial views of Belize’s coastline and barrier reef before landing in Placencia approximately 25 minutes after takeoff. Round-trip tickets are approximately USD 300 per person with both companies.

Once you arrive in Placencia, you’re just minutes away from the docks and accommodations. The town is small, walkable, and easy to navigate, with plenty of local restaurants and shops.

We’ll schedule a pickup location that is most convenient for you and plan around the tides to make the most of your day(s) on the water.
